Mercedes will delay a little the debut of the new CLK (prepared in 2010) but this year in Paris Stateroom rumors the Germans will come up with a car more than interesting: one CLK Shooting Break.
The car, as its name says, will combine the lines of a sport break and it’ll have series’ version after a year after the official launch of the next Mercedes coupe medium class.
So BMW Series 3 and Audi A5 affected so much the selling of the CLK, too old and too streamlined weak to face the assault from Munchen and Inglostadt. Pursuant to Mercedes plan a spectacular come back on the image of the actual C-Klasse, one come back which will mark more versions developed on the technical platform “brother” CLK. (without coupe and shooting break expect more to a cabrio).
Next, CLK will semnificatively note the character of the premium produc, thanks to an inspiration from the admiral ship S-Klasse: tall weist, streamline of the pinions, headlights in corners and “carved” radiator grill.
The engine’s gamut will be composed from units placed in C-Klasse (V6 of 3,5 liters and 272 HP, V6 diesel of 3 liters and 224HP) and E-Klasse (V8 of 5,5 liters and 388HP). Later, Mercedes will implement a mild hybrid version of a past diesel mentioned (this will make a team with an electric engine of 20HP for the the compression of the noxes) but the monster V8 of 6,3 liters, laid out and built by AMG will enter, for sure, in CLK 63 possession.
