The Italian constructor presented California model, a convertible which
promises excellent standards of dynamic.
After more “stolen” pictures, showing Ferrari was preparing one little
cabrio model, the Italian constructor presented the first pictures and
official information about the new car.
The model, called California, it’s a convertible with 2 places which benefits, like Italians say, surmountable roof stiff, a premiere in their history.
Design has influences from Ferrari’s tradition and has some interesting
elements. First place, lateral line looks very nice, frontal side
catch your eyes by the the form of headlights, but the back is the most
interesting. Why? Firstly, because it’s so massive and… has 4 tube
egress, but not disposed horizontal, 2 and 2, but vertical/oblique, like the
Lexus IS-F style.
Ferrari didn’t present more pictures with the new California, and we don’t know how the car looks with the amounted roof and either photos
with interior details were given, but Ferrari assure this one is beyond
the expectations.
The engine is installed in the front, one V8 with 4,3 liters which
gives 460HP/7,500rpm. Ferrari says the car accelerates to 100km in less
than 4 seconds with the help of a gear box with double clutch and 7 steps.
As well, in series equipment it’s seen the same system of control from
F1-Trac, the same available on 599 GTB Fiorano. In this equipment make
part too, the brakes on the discs from ceramics and carbon, so the
breaks’ performances should be excellent.![]()
Ferrari California will be officially presented to the Paris Showroom
in the autumn of this year, but until then, the Italian constructor
says more pictures and technical details will be published.
