On April 30th, 1948, Land Rover presented its Defender to the show of Amsterdam. For 60 years, Defender receives a special series anniversary.

Every year, 25.000 Defender brings out assembly lines, most to become a tool of hardly appreciated work. The special series 60th anniversary, SVX, will propose ever proposed best equipped Defender. It will be covered with a black painting silvered with the identifications ” 60th anniversary ” satiny on sides.  This special series will also distinguish itself by the contrasting silvery finish of the badge Defender SVX, the tubular stepladders, the frame drawn by the bar of the radiator, the new lighthouses with transparent objective, the wheel rims in alloy Diamond tuned in five beams, the aluminum strengthened lower shield in front and the lights defers LED. Defender SVX will be equipped, inside, with front seats Recaro, with a knob of control lever in alloy, with a new audio system with loudspeakers with low frequency and connection USB, with a stationof reception iPod and a system of navigation Garmin.

The car is available, from this spring, 2008, in versions Soft Top and Station Car. The model Soft Top will distance itself by their arceau with tubulaire structure of metallic color which will support a black cover. They will also arrange a surface of load and a spare wheel gone up behind front seats in reference to very first opened Land Rover. Land Rover Defender SVX will be available in 3 versions: Defender 90 Soft Top two places, a Station car SVX 90 version in four places and one Station Car SVX 110 in seven places. All in all Land Rover will produce 1300 units of this special series.
